Magnesia alumina brick
Magnesia-alumina brick is dominated by periclase, and the magnesia-alumina is used as the matrix, which contains Al2O3 5%~10%, which is superior to the magnesia brick in thermal shock resistance. In order to improve the thermal shock resistance of magnesia brick, alumina or bauxite clinker fine powder is introduced into the furnish to form a magnesium aluminum spinel matrix, thereby preparing a magnesia-alumina brick. Magnesia-alumina bricks are characterized by good thermal shock resistance and high refractoriness under load. As the Al2O3 content increases, the apparent porosity of the brick increases. However, when the Al2O3 content is less than 10%, the brick is still dense, and the apparent porosity is up to 14%, generally 15% to 18%. Magnesia-alumina brick can work in glass melting kiln, cement rotary kiln, blast furnace and reflector furnace top.
